Arigato

Arigato

This long hallway, directed towards a portrait Daisetz T. Suzuki, is part of the beautiful minimalist architecture of Taniguchi Yoshio in the D. T. Suzuki Museum in Kanazawa Japan. Suzuki was a leading figure in bringing the culture and ideals of zen to the West. In his later years he was drawn to Shin Buddhism, the other Buddhism of Japan. His final utterance,`arigato', was his ultimate acknowledgment of the miracle of the gift of life.
